These Terms of Service („Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Wiser Life mobile application and related services (collectively, the „Service”), operated by an individual based in Poland („Wiser Life”, „we”, „us”, or „our”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using Wiser Life, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
2. Accounts
2.1 Account Creation
You may use certain parts of the Service without creating an account. To subscribe, sync data across devices, or store reflections, you must create an account using an email address, password, and nickname.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
2.2 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or engage in unlawful or harmful behavior.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
3.1 Subscription Model
Wiser Life offers auto-renewing monthly subscriptions. Subscriptions provide access to additional features such as the Morning Stoic practice and subscriber-only content.
3.2 Payments
Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the applicable subscription fees on a recurring basis until you cancel.
3.3 Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds, chargebacks, and billing disputes are handled according to Stripe’s policies. We do not guarantee refunds for partially used subscription periods.
4. User Content
4.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of all reflections, notes, and other content you create within the Service („User Content”).
4.2 License
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
4.3 Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content. We do not review, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of any User Content.
5. Intellectual Property
All content provided by Wiser Life, including text, design, software, and original interpretations or rewrites of public-domain works (such as the writings of Seneca), is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Seneca’s original writings are in the public domain. Any rewritten, simplified, or curated versions provided in the app constitute original work owned by Wiser Life.
You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
6. AI-Assisted Content
Some content in Wiser Life may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy and quality, such content may contain errors or omissions and is provided for reflective and educational purposes only.
7. Health and Mental Well-Being Disclaimer
Wiser Life does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.
The Service is intended for educational and reflective purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing mental health difficulties, emotional distress, or a medical emergency, please seek help from a qualified healthcare professional or local emergency services.
Use of the Service is at your own discretion and risk.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Reverse engineer or misuse the app or its content
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided „as is” and „as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your expectations.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wiser Life shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you within the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
